WHAT WE DID:

  • David Kopitzke book signing was a huge success with nearly 100 people attending! 4 Wisconsin wines from vonStiehl, Wollersheim & Door Peninsula wineries were the featured refreshment AND thanks to Brian Larson at the Pine River Food Co-op for providing the delicious Carr Valley Cardona Goat Cheese!
  • The Sara Rath book signing & Friends of the Library Wine Tasting Benefit was also entertaining. We tasted 4 wines that evening: Martini & Rossi Prosecco, Carmen Carmenere, KWV Pinotage & Quinta do Noval Tawny Porto. Thanks to Asenath Larue for the lovely cheese plate, crackers & brownies!
  • James Campbell, author of The Final Frontiersman entertained an audience who braved the November blizzard to attend. We saw video footage of the Alaskan bush & heard a fascinating story. Wisconsin wines & Rye Beer from Pete’s Corner Pub were the refreshments.
  • Look for his new book published by Random House in January, 2007 about the Wisconsin Red Arrow Division in New Guinea in WWII.
